Deducted Patient – DP

Blank – the reason may be blank for records assigned to dummy doctors, with
GP codes greater than 99, e.g. ZZZ100. Dummy GP codes greater than
ZZZ099 are used to register non-NHS patients onto the database, for example
to enable a non-NHS patient to participate in a screening programme.

O/R Other – if the deduction Type is O/R, an optional code expanding the
reason may appear to the right, e.g. O/R-RFI.

RFI – Removal from Residential Institute
o
PAR – Practice advise patient no longer resident
o
PSR – Practice advise removal via screening system
o
PVR – Practice advise removal via vaccination data
o
CGA – Correspondence states ‘gone away’
o
OPA – Practice advise outside their area.
If the reason for the deduction is amended to O/R, a query message will remind you
that a more meaningful deduction code may also be used. This will occur even if you
over-type an existing O/R code.
Where available, information will also be displayed to indicate the source of the
deduction. This information, which will be displayed in brackets after the field, can be
any one of the following:
•
DL – Deduction made via DL screen
•
CR – Deduction made by NHSCR
•
GP – Deduction made via GP Links (application GF)
•
FP – Deduction by FP69 (application FP).
