AJ-ASCT
Registration Reference Manual
A3-2
Appendix A
Version: 2.55
Data Transmission/Receipt
Once the close of quarter is complete, the information gathered on GPs who are
responsible to another HA will be automatically queued to the network for
transmission to that HA. Similarly, HAs with information on GPs responsible to your
HA will automatically send this information to you.
Data is transmitted using the Communication Job Queue. For further details on the
CJ-Q, refer to the File Transfer Reference Manual).
When a network transmission is received, the ASCT screen (2) will list the sending
HA’s cipher.
Sent information may be accumulated to provide you with counts on all GPs for
whom you are responsible.
Ad Hoc Count
Ad hoc counts can be requested at any time using the ASCT screen (2) to extract
details on:
•
all patients for whom your HA is responsible; and
•
fringe patients.
Ad hoc runs can only extract counts for today’s date, and you cannot run an ad hoc
count on a quarter end date.
Count data will be held until another ad hoc count has been requested. Data collected
from an ad hoc count will not be queued to the network for transmission, as this run
type is intended for in-house use only.
Reporting
Reports and downloads may be generated for:
•
Fringe data
Counts on GPs responsible to another HA.
•
Responsible data
Counts on GPs on your database for whom your HA is
responsible.
•
Non resident data
Counts on GPs responsible to your HA who are treating
patients within the boundary of another HA. (This
information is only extracted during the quarter end
count.)
•
Accumulated data All counts extracted from your database, in addition to
counts received from other HAs, on GPs for whom you
are responsible. Counts will be sent from other HAs after
their end of quarter has completed processing.
Accumulated counts will not be available if you have
requested an ad hoc run. (This information is only
extracted during the quarter end count)
Counts will be available for use in reports and downloads until they are deleted.
Ad hoc runs will be kept until the next ad hoc run. Close of quarter counts are held on
file for two years. After two years, the oldest counts will be deleted.
