ERROR MESSAGE MEANING / ACTION
NO GP – Invalid range You have entered a surname range for a receiving GP
without entering the GP code.
A valid receiving GP
code must be entered if a surname range is specified.
Range seq wrong
You have entered surname ranges for receiving GPs
which overlap.
Check the details and re-enter.
REC. GP has end date The receiving GP must not have an end date set.
REC. GP not on file
The receiving GPs must exist. You have entered an
invalid GP code.
REC. GP not prtnr The receiving GP must be in the same partnership as
the donating GP.
To must follow from The surname ‘from’ field must precede the surname
‘to’ field.
LABELS not Y/N/null Invalid entry. You have entered something other than
‘Y’, ‘N’ or null in the ‘Labels’ field.
NO letters & labels You cannot select both letters and labels.
SORT Rule invalid You have made an invalid entry in the ‘Sort Rule’ field.
Enter 1, 7 or 8, or use the pop-up box.
HoH Rule invalid You have made an invalid entry in the ‘Head of
Household Rule’ field.
Enter 1 or 5, or use the pop-up
box.
Flag HoH not Y/*/NULL
Invalid entry. You have selected labels, and entered
something other than ‘Y’, ‘*’ or null in the ‘Flag HoH
Label?’ field.
