Directions to Report on End of Quarter Counts
1.
Enter the quarter end date you wish to enquire about in the Quarter end date
field, on screen (1), and press
Enter
. A pop-up window, accessed via
Ctrl
Shift L
, can be used here to display qtr end dates for which data exists on your
system. The Screen below will be displayed.
2.
The quarter end date is redisplayed beneath the job name field. If count data
has been received from other HAs, those HA ciphers will be listed beneath the
count field.
Two basic report types are available:
PPA standard report, or the user defined report.

to report on fringe patient data.

Enter
R
to report on responsible patient data.
•
Enter
N
to report on non-resident patient data.
•
Enter
A
to accumulate data.
If you select PPA standard report, continue from step 7 below.

D
to request a Detailed report, or
T
to request the Totals only report.
4.
Enter the age banding you require on the report. You may enter the xR –
repeating age band option (where x represents a number) or up to 22 separate
age bands.

P
to print the report, or
D
to download the report. If you have selected
the download option, continue from step 7 below.

Y
in the run job field, and press
Enter
. ASCT will be scheduled to start
automatically on AJ-Q.
Download
7.
If you have selected the download option, you may download to either a PC or
UNIX.

PC – to download to a PC, leave the UNIX pathname field blank. Enter
Y
to run the job, and press
Enter
.
•
UNIX – enter the full UNIX path name in the field provided. Enter
Y
to
run the job, and press
Enter
. An extension will be automatically added
by AJ-ASCT.
8.
Select whether temporary resident counts are required. These counts are
required if you are performing a PPA download.
9.
Select whether to split by source cipher or not. Entering ‘Y’ here means each
‘GP age band’ counts record will be split down into many records, as there are
source ciphers in the counts data and the cipher added as an extra (12th) piece
to the end of this cipher-level record. Also, the ‘GP age band’ level record will
not be created.
