Interaction with the PDS

If more than 50 possible matches are found for the details you have entered the pop-up
box below will be displayed. Press
Enter . Change the patient’s details in order to
refine the search before resubmitting it to the PDS.

If multiple possible matches (but less than 51) have been made between the details
entered on the ID or LX screens and the PDS, a paging pop-up box like the one below
will be displayed.

Use the Page On / Page Back keys to view all the possible matches. Once you have
found the correct match, press A to accept the details. As before, any differences
between the data held on the NHAIS system and the PDS are highlighted.
Alternatively, press C to close the pop-up window.
AJ-BOAJ Processing
If the PDS returns between two and 50 matches AJ-BOAJ will allocate a non-
streamlinable exclusion code of
PMM (PDS Multiple Match) to the transaction.
Processing will continue as normal.
If the PDS returns more than 50 matches, AJ-BOAJ will allocate a non-streamlinable
exclusion code of
PTMM (PDS Too Many Matches) to the transaction. Processing
will continue as normal.
