Example: using analog input as speed reference. 
The speed reference is 32-bits, so the 32-bit value will be used. 
Let's say that the maximum speed is 30000 rpm and the unit is inc/s with 4096 inc per motor revolution. 
  
Maximum speed: 30000 rpm  ->  500 rev/s  ->  2048000 inc/s 
The maximum 16-bit analog input is 32767
