Configuring and using the bridge amplifier
This section describes the procedures required when configuring and using the
bridge amplifier for both the hardware as well as the software (Perception).
In the Perception software, a simplified block diagram is used as reference and
complementary control.

Bridge completion
The Wheatstone bridge used in most strain gauge measurement circuits usually
consists of (a) the gages for actively measuring the strains and (b) precision
resistors for completing the circuit. In GN410 and GN411, bridge completion
can be for full
-
bridge, half
-
bridge and quarter
-
bridge configurations. Completion
resistors can be internal (incorporated in the GN410 and GN411) or external
(when required).
