Display Parameters
VLAN ID
The VLAN identified as the source of the MAC address.
MAC Address
A multicast MAC address for which the switch has forwarding or filtering
information The format is 6 two-digit hexadecimal numbers that are
separated by colons, for example 01:23:45:67:89:AB.
Type
The type of the entry, static or dynamic.
Description
The text description of this multicast table entry.
Interfaces
The list of interfaces that are designated for forwarding (Fwd:) and
filtering (Flt:).
IGMP Snooping Querier Commands
The IGMP Querier requires the central switch or router that periodically queries all end-devices on the
network to announce their multicast memberships. Essentially, the responses, known as IGMP reports,
maintains updates with the current multicast group membership on a port-by-port basis.
5-481 set igmp querier
Enable IGMP Snooping Querier on the system, using Global Config mode, or on a VLAN. The function
allows you to specify the lP Address that the Snooping Querier switch should use as a source address
while generating periodic queries.
Note:
Querier IP Addresses assigned as a VLAN take preference over global configuration.
IGMP Snooping Querier supports sending periodic general queries on the VLAN to solicit membership
reports.
No
command disables IGMP Snooping Querier on the system. Use the optional address parameter to
reset the querier address to 0.0.0.0.
