3) Place the non-Primary Charging Roller part of unit on sheets of copying paper and then protect it from light by covering it with the drum protection sheet or
wrapping it with sheets of paper (about 5 sheets).
4) Remove the Primary Charging Roller from the Primary Charging Roller Unit.
5) Clean only the Primary Charging Roller using the lint-free paper with ethanol or isopropyl alcohol. Dry wipe using the dry lint-free paper.
6) After cleaning the entire Primary Charging Roller, check that cleaned area is dry and then return the Primary Charging Roller to the Primary Charging Roller
Unit. When doing this, make sure that the shaft of the Cleaning Roller has not dropped off from the Shaft Support.
[Caution]
If the shaft toward the rear of Cleaning Roller dropped off from the Shaft Support and the Cleaning Roller only contacts the front side of the Primary Charging
Roller, an uneven cleaning occurs and this may cause a vertical streak on image due to soiling on the Primary Charging Roller so make sure that the shaft is correctly
installed.
7) Attach the Primary Charging Roller Unit to the Process Unit with P-tightening screws. After attaching, make sure that the Primary Charging Roller fully contacts
the Cleaning Roller. If it doesn't, the shaft of Cleaning Roller may have dropped off from the Shaft Support. It needs to be reinstalled. If there is no issue with
contacting, install the Process Unit to the machine.
[Caution]
Due to using the P-tightening screw, if the screw does not tighten easily, rotate it in the counter clockwise direction until it drops a level in the screw hole. Then
tighten the screw in the clockwise direction.
8) Turn ON the main power switch of the machine and when it can copy, output the halftone image for the relevant Process Unit and check that the image soiling
has improved.
9) If the image has improved and the Process Unit can continue to be used, implement following modes.
- INIT-ITB: Select service mode > COPIER > FUNCTION > INSTALL > INIT-ITB (Creation of ITB edge profile) > press OK key. During operation, "ACTIVE"
is displayed, and "OK!" is displayed after the completion.
- Auto Adjust Gradation: Settings/Registration > Adjustment/Maintenance > Adjust Image Quality > Auto Adjust Gradation > Full Adjust
- Auto Correct Color Mismatch: Settings/Registration > Adjustment/Maintenance > Adjust Image Quality > Auto Correct Color Mismatch
- Correct Shading: Settings/Registration > Adjustment/Maintenance > Adjust Image Quality > Correct Shading
