[Caution] When exporting "Service Mode Settings", select Service Mode > Copier > Option > USER > SMD-EXPT, set "1" and then export data. SMD-EXPT
cannot be exported, therefore the settings need to be made every time the HDD is replaced.
3) Backup following user data by the remote UI.
Remote UI > Settings/Registration > Management Settings > Data Management > Import/Export Individually > select target data to export > Export
Target data:
- Address List
- Device Settings (Forwarding Settings, Address Book, Send Function Favorite Settings)
- Printer Settings
- Paper Information
- Web Access Favorites
4) Execute "Export Audit Log".
Remote UI > Settings/Registration > Device Management > Export/Clear Audit Log
[Caution] After obtaining the audit logs, give the data to the user.
5) Execute the backup of MEAP data.
SST (Meapback)
Target data:
- MEAP application license files (SMS)
- Local Device Authentication information of SSO-H (Single Sign-On H)
[Reference] Meapback.bin can be restored after replacement or initialization of the HDD.
[Caution] When the following service mode is executed, Meapback.bin cannot be restored.
- Service mode > COPIER > FUNCTION > SYSTEM > CHK-TYPE > 7
- Service mode > COPIER > FUNCTION > SYSTEM > HD-CLEAR
6) If TPM setting is set to "ON", check the TPM key backed up by the user. If the user has not performed the backup, perform the backup.
b) After Replacing
1) Start the machine in safe mode (turn ON the main power switch while pressing 2+8 keys).
2) Use SST to execute Formatting All Partitions on the HDD.
3) Download the system software (System/LANG/RUI/others) to the machine using SST.
4) Initialize the encryption key, certificates and CA certificates.
- Service Mode (Level 2) > COPIER > FUNCTION > CLEAR > CA-KEY
5) Turn OFF and then ON the power witch.
6) Restore using the backup data stored in step "a) Before Replacing".
- Remote UI > Settings/Registration > Management Settings > Data Management > Restore
- Remote UI > Settings/Registration > Management Settings > Data Management > Import/Export All > Import
- Remote UI > Settings/Registration > Management Settings > Data Management > Import/Export Individually > Import
- Restoration of MEAP
SST (Meapback)
7) When the user generates and adds the encryption key, certificate and/or CA certificate, request the user to generate them again.
8) Execute "Auto Adjust Gradation (Full Adjust)".
- Settings/Registration > Adjustment/Maintenance > Adjust Image Quality > Auto Adjust Gradation
[Caution]
- Remedy when using the Card Reader and imageWARE Accounting Manager
The card ID used by imageWARE Accounting Manager is stored in the HDD and the management by imageWARE Accounting Manager cannot be performed
immediately after replacing the HDD.
After performing the remedy after replacing HDD, perform the following step to reinstall the card ID from imageWARE Accounting Manager.
1) Select service mode> COPIER > FUNCTION > INSTALL > CARD, enter the numeric value of the leading card which is used for the department management
and press "OK" button. (Example: If No. 1 to No. 1000 cards are used for the department management, enter "1" of the leading card.)
2) After turning OFF and then ON the Main Power Switch, perform the following steps in service mode.
2-1) Go to Settings/Registration > Management Settings > User Management > Department ID Management > Page Totals and check that "ID00000001" to
"ID00001000" are created.
2-2) Select Preferences > Network > TCP / IP Settings > IPV4 Settings>IP Address Settings, and set IP Address, Gateway Address and Subnet Mask.
2-3) In Settings/Registration > Management Settings > System Manager Information Settings > System Manager ID and System PIN, register any number for each
of them and then turn OFF and then ON the Main Power Switch.
[Caution] If "System Manager ID" and "System PIN" are not registered, "card registration to device" cannot be executed for the imageWARE Accounting Manager
setting operation.
3) Download again the card ID from imageWARE Accounting Manager to the machine.
4) After downloading is completed, select Settings/Registration > Management Settings > User Management > Department ID Management > Page Totals and
check that only the downloaded card ID is displayed.
5) Print using the user card registered from imageWARE Accounting Manager and check that the card information used for the target device of imageWARE Ac-
counting Manager is collected.
- Points to note when using an HDD with system software already installed
Use of an HDD in which the system software of another machine (a machine of a different serial number) is installed for a troubleshooting is possible if it is an
HDD of a model of iR-ADV C5255 series and later. However, it is necessary to format HDD and install the system software after installation. Operation is not
guaranteed if it is continued to be used as is.
It is not recommended to install a HDD installed to a different machine as it is necessary to format it on installation. If it must be installed, explain that data such
as user data will be deleted to the user, receive an agreement and then proceed with the installation. In addition, an HDD used in iR-ADV C5255 series and later
cannot be accessed from a PC due to enhanced security.
