- 2 or more USB memories are connected.
- The USB memory has insufficient free memory space.
- The USB memory is write-protected.
- No key is found.
[Caution] Request to the user to observe following points for storing the USB memory.
- The USB memory should be securely stored.
- Do not upload the backup file for the TPM key in the USB memory to a server or other locations which can be accessed by unanimous users.

The serial number for the machine is automatically assigned to the backup file name for the TPM key.

Description
Please explain the actions to take after replacing the Main Controller PCB 2.
Field Remedy
When replacing the Main Controller PCB 2, perform the following remedy.
a) Before Replacing
1) Backup following data by the remote UI.
Remote UI > Settings/Registration > Management Settings > Data Management > Export
Target data:
- Settings/Registration Basic Information
- Paper Type Management Settings
- Forwarding Settings
- Box Settings
- Department ID Management Settings
- Main Menu Settings
- Web Access Settings
- Favorite Settings
- Address Book
- Quick Menu Settings
- MEAP Application Setting Information
- User Setting Information
- iW Function Flow Settings
- Service Mode Settings
[Caution] When exporting "Service Mode Settings", select Service Mode > Copier > Option > USER > SMD-EXPT > 1 and then export data. SMD-EXPT cannot
be exported, therefore the settings need to be made every time the HDD is replaced.
2) Backup following user data by the remote UI.
Remote UI > Settings/Registration > Management Settings > Data Management > Import/Export Individually
Target data:
- Address List
- Device Settings (Forwarding Settings, Address Book, Send Function Favorite Settings)
- Printer Settings
- Paper Information
3) Backup following user data by the remote UI.
Remote UI > Settings/Registration > Management Settings > Data Management > Back Up
Target data:
- Mail Box
- Memory RX Inbox
- Confidential Fax Inbox
- Form for Composition

- When the optional HDD (1TB) is used, the backup is possible only with an USB connected HDD.
- Recommend the user to backup user data via the remote UI.
4) Backup SRAM (with HDD Encryption Board).

Target data:
- The encryption key of the HDD Encryption Board

- If there is an HDD Encryption Board, the encryption key of the HDD Encryption Board recorded on SRAM is lost when replacing the Main Controller PCB 2,
and the contents of HDD cannot to be read. Therefore, restoration cannot be done although backup is performed to HDD.
b) At Replacement
Transfer following parts from the old PCB to new PCB.
- Option SDRAM (M0: DIMM)
- Bypass PCB
- Memory PCB
