CONTROL SET UP
After the appropriate money acceptor has been
installed in an ADVANTECH

washer or dryer,
the control must be configured to match the
installed device. This can be accomplished
through transferring the appropriate template
that matches the money acceptor from the
management software, 1) to a Palm

handheld
unit, then from the Palm

via infrared to the
ADVANTECH

control board, 2) by inputting
the appropriate series of manual keystrokes
through the membrane switch, 3) by inserting
the appropriate SMARD Card setup into the
newly-installed card reader. To set up the con-
trol, an ADVANTECH

product must be in-
stalled and power applied.

Accessing The Service Mode For
All Metercase Models
1. Unplug or disconnect electrical power.
2. Remove the service access door on top of
the metercase. The door may be locked
and require a key.
3. Push and release the rocker switch located
inside the metercase.
WARNING
Electrical Shock Hazard
Disconnect power before servicing.
Replace all parts and panels before
operating.
Failure to do so can result in death or
electrical shock.
4. The HOT temperature LED begins blinking
to confirm that the switch was pushed. The
machine's lifetime cycle count now shows
on display. Display automatically returns to
the vend-price after 1 minute of inactivity.
Accessing The Service Mode For
Full Console Models
1. Unplug or disconnect electrical power.
2. Remove the two T-15 Torx screws from the
console.

NOTE: On electric dryers, the control panel
should only be open with the power cord cover
in place. If the power cord cover is removed
with the console in the service position and
power is applied, there is a risk of shock and
product damage.
3. Rotate the console back on its two hinges
into the service position.
4. Press and release service switch S1 on the
control board.

ing to confirm that the switch was pushed.
The machine's lifetime cycle count now
shows on display. The display automati-
cally returns to vend-price after 1 minute of
inactivity.
