NOTE:

The spark quencher is an in-line filter

that is part of the main harness and must be
removed as an assembly. There are two spark
quenchers. One is located below the console,
and the other near the heater/burner assem-
bly.

6.

Disconnect the harness wire connectors
from the components.

7.

Unclip and remove the main harness from
the unit (refer to the spark quencher Ser-
vice Pointer in section 8 for complete
service information).

REMOVING A SPARK QUENCHER

1.

Unplug dryer(s) or disconnect power.

2.

Turn off gas supply to dryer(s).

3.

Pull the dryer away from the wall and
remove the top (see step 3 on page 4-33
for the procedure).

4.

Remove the front panel (see page 4-33 for
the procedure).

5.

Reach around behind the drive motor and
push the idler wheel arm to the left, then
remove the tension, and remove the belt
from the idler pulley.
