Switch Block S1 is located in the lower left corner of the module (see
Figure 6-8
)
and sets the two timing signals that this module generates. Various output modules
use these signals to generate their own outputs. Some modules use Output 1
and/or Clock 1, while other modules use Output 2 and/or Clock 2. Some modules,
like the AMI Output Module, can be configured to use either Output 1 or Output 2,
and to use either Clock 1 or Clock 2.
Table 6-14
lists the Output modules available
and the output and clock signal each module requires from the T1/E1 Frame
Generator module.
Determine which Output modules are required in your application, then refer to this
table and the following paragraphs to set the S1 switches appropriately.
