336 Control through the embedded fieldbus interface
Basics of the embedded fieldbus interface
The cyclic communication between a fieldbus system and the drive consists of 16-bit
data words (with the ABB Drives profile or DCU 16-bit profile) or 32-bit data words
(with the
DCU 32-bit profile).
The diagram below illustrates the operation of the fieldbus interface. The signals
transferred in the cyclic communication are explained further below the diagram.
