TROUBLESHOOTING ND PROBABLE SOLUTIONS
9 FAULTS, CAUSES AND SOLUTIONS
FAULT POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION
The PONYBENCH-B lift does not
work: no reaction.
• No power (*).
• Electric motor burnt out (*).
• Pump out of order.
• Check the power distribution board
and ifnecessary set the master switch
to the correctposition.
• Check the position of the mushroom-
shapedbutton on the control console;
if necessary release it and then press
the reset button.
• Press the master switch placed
on the power board in order to turn
off power and then open the control
panel on the control unit and check
the condition of the fuses. Replace
the fuses if necessary.
• Replace the electric motor.
• Replace the pump.
When the <ascent> is operated, the
PONYBENCH-B lift does not move up
or has diffi culty in moving up.
• Not enough oil in control unit tank.
• Pump very worn.
• Ascent solenoid-valve jammed or
out of order.
• Check the tank level and top up the
oil if necessary.
• Replace the pump.
• Check the solenoid valve and
replace if necessary.
Insuffi cient PONYBENCH-B lift fl ow
rate.
• Insuffi cient hydraulic circuit operating
pressure insuffi cient.
• Check the pump operating pressure
on the pressure gauge. Replace the
pump if necessary.
The lift descends by itself from
stationary position until the safety
hook catches and stops on a stop
block.
• Defective jack: defective sealing
gaskets.
• Safety lock valve worn.
• Change the jack.
• Change the valve.
The lifting arms fail to open/close. • No compressed air. • Make sure that the compressed air
pipe isconnected to the compressed
air distributionsystem equipped with
a pressure reducer set tothe tight
pressure.
