8.3 PLACING THE EQUIPMENT OUT OF USE
Whenever the equipment will be placed out of use for
a long period of time, the following operations must be
performed:
• Disconnect all power supplies.
• Drain the tanks from their operating fl uids.
• Provide the parts that might be damaged by dust
infi ltration with protection against the same.
• Grease all the parts that might be damaged if they dry
out, such as the fl exible hydraulic or pneumatic pipe,
etc.
When re-starting the equipment after a long period of
inactivity, check to make sure that no cracks or cuts have
emerged in the oil pipes and that themachine is in generally
good working condition.
Check the operation of safety and intervention limit-
switches and the fall proof safety hook.
8.4 SCRAPPING
Whenever the user decides to no longer use the
PONYBENCH-B, werecommend making it harmless by
draining the hydraulic oil from the hydraulic unit tank and
the jacks that drive the lift.
Given that the machine is considered special waste, it
must be disassembled and separated into similar parts
that must be eliminated in compliance with the laws in
force in the nation in question.
