Backing up Setting Information of this Machine
Backing up data to the server
Configure settings to back up setting data of this machine to the server.
In the administrator mode, select [Maintenance] - [Backup Settings] - [Server BackUp Settings], then config-
ure the following settings.

To restore backup data, select [Utility] - [Administrator Settings] - [Security Settings] - [Data Backup] on
the
Control Panel

Backing up data to the hard disk
Configure settings to back up setting data of this machine to the hard disk.
In the administrator mode, select [Maintenance] - [Backup Settings] - [HDD BackUp Settings], then configure
the following settings.
Tips

The
Hard Disk
is optional in some areas. To use this function, the optional
Hard Disk
is required.

[Backup Function Us-
age Setting]
To use the function for backing up data to the server, select [ON].
[OFF] is specified by default.
[TX Protocol]
Select the protocol to communicate with the server, then specify parameters.
•
[SMB]: Select this item to back up data to the SMB server. In [SMBSetting],
enter the host name of the server and the path of the sharing folder as well
as the user name and password of the user with access rights.
•
[HTTP]: Select this item to back up data to the WebDAV server. In [HTTP
Settings], enter the URL of the WebDAV folder as well as the user name and
password of the user with access rights. Also, select whether to use a
proxy server.
[Auto Backup Settings]
To periodically create a backup copy, specify the timing to back up data.
•
To specify the number of days as the backup interval, select [Interval of
Day(s)], then specify the time in [Backup Time]. [1] day, [0] hour [0] minute
is specified by default.
•
To specify a day of the week and the time as the backup interval, select
[Weekly Frequency], then specify the time in [Backup Time]. [Sun], [0] hour
[0] minute is specified by default.
[OFF] is specified by default.
[Backup Target]
Select backup data.
[Password is changed.]
Enter the password to encrypt backup data in [Encryption Password] (using up
to 64 characters).
[Last backup date]
Displays the latest backup date.
