z
Auto non-invasive blood pressure measurements performed in long
intervals may incur ischemia and neuropathy in the limb wearing the
cuff. When monitoring a patient, examine the extremities of the limb
frequently for normal color, warmth and sensitivity. If any abnormality is
observed, change the position of the cuff on the patient or stop the
blood pressure measurements immediately.
3. To start a continuous NIBP measurement
Selecting CONTINUAL in NIBP SETUP menu starts a continuous NIBP
measurement. The monitor continues measuring NIBP for five minutes.
4. To stop a NIBP measurement
During an auto, manual or continuous measurement, pressing the NIBP key on the
control panel stops the ongoing measurement.
NOTE
z
If you are in doubt about the accuracy of any reading(s), check the
patient's vital signs by an alternative method before checking the
function of the monitor.
