2.5.1 Introduction
Supported PSUs
The power supply system for the E9000 chassis consists of six PSUs. PSUs include DC and
AC PSUs. When the E9000 is fully configured with PSUs, the power capping value of the
chassis is 9000 W to 15000 W.

AC PSUs support the following rated input voltages:

100 V AC to 130 V AC (50 Hz to 60 Hz)

PSU Hibernation
If the chassis is running with low power, it does not need the redundant PSUs. The PSU
hibernation feature sets redundant PSUs to hibernation mode based on the PSU configurations
and current chassis power to save energy. The 2000 W, 2500 W, and 3000 W PSUs support
hibernation at appropriate voltages.
The hibernation feature automatically sets redundant PSUs to hibernation mode. If the chassis
power increases or a PSU exception occurs, the management software cancels hibernation
mode and wakes up all hibernated PSUs. As the chassis power increases or decreases, the
management software compares the sum of the rated power of all operating PSUs with the
total power consumption of the entire chassis and automatically adjusts the number of
hibernated PSUs based on the hibernation mode.
