3.6 Installing PSUs

The procedure for installing a DC PSU is the same as that for installing an AC PSU. For
details about PSU configuration policies, see

2.5.4 PSU Configuration Policies

During operations, wear protective gloves to prevent personal injury.

Procedure

Step 1

Determine the slots for installing the PSUs.

A maximum of six PSUs can be installed in an E9000 chassis.

Figure 3-20

shows PSU slot

numbers.

Step 2

Install PSUs.

Unpack the PSU packing box.

Take the PSU out of its ESD bag.

Horizontally insert the PSU into the chassis until the PSU snaps into the chassis.
Install the PSUs according to the following guidelines:
