l
Trim off the excess length of the cabinet PGND cable and power cables. Do not coil up
cables.
l
Connect the PGND cable of the E9000 chassis to the nearest ground terminal of the
cabinet for an attractive layout. Coil the PGND cable if the excess length is long.
l
To improve system reliability and facilitate maintenance, connect the power cables of the
E9000 chassis to different PDUs.
l
(Optional) Distinguish power cables installed on different PDUs by color.
A.2.3 Installation Requirements for Signal Cables
l
In overhead cabling mode, route the cables in the cabinet from bottom to top. In
underfloor cabling mode, route the cables in the cabinet from top to bottom.
l
Conduct a continuity test for each signal cable before installation.
l
Ensure that the signal cables to be installed are free of damage, breaks, or splices.
l
Do not bind or cross cables of the same type on different devices or boards. Otherwise,
device or board replacement is affected.
l
Bind Ethernet signal cables in bundles. Ensure that each bundle contains at most 20
cables.
l
During installation, do not pull, press, or crush optical cables.
l
When binding optical cables, ensure that the turning point is not tight or twisted. Neatly
bind optical cable pairs.
l
Take protective measures when laying out optical cables outside the cabinet, such as
placing the optical cables in corrugated pipes or routing the optical cables along troughs.
Then properly bind the optical cables with cable ties. Ensure that there are no sharp
edges. Choose one of the protective pipes listed in
as required.
Table A-4
Protective pipes for optical cables
Type
Maximum Number of Supported Optical Cables
Open corrugated pipe
(recommended)
60
Closed corrugated pipe
20
Winding pipe
10: 6 mm (0.24 in.) outer diameter
20: 12 mm (0.47 in.) outer diameter
l
When routing optical cables into the cabinet, ensure that the length of the corrugated
pipes wrapping the optical cables does not exceed 100 mm (3.94 in.). Use insulation
tapes to cover the cut edges of corrugated pipes, and securely bind corrugated pipes, as
shown in
.
