1 Power supply socket 2 Ground terminal
Step 2 (Optional) Install and bind the PGND cable.
l If AC or HVDC power supplies are used, the PSU is grounded through the PE connector of the
power cable. The ground terminal of the chassis must also be grounded. The server is not delivered
with a chassis ground cable. Obtain a chassis ground cable based on actual requirements.
l If DC power supplies are used, the PSU ground terminal and the chassis ground terminal must be
grounded. The server is not delivered with a chassis ground cable. Obtain a chassis ground cable
based on actual requirements.
1. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the two M6 screws from the ground terminal on the
E9000 chassis. See (1) in
Figure 3-45 .

2. Use a Phillips screwdriver to fasten one end of the PGND cable to the ground terminal
on the E9000 chassis. See (2) in
Figure 3-45 .
The cross-sectional area of the PGND cable is greater than or equal to 16 mm
2
(0.025 in.

).
3. Coil the PGND cable based on the distance between ground terminal on the chassis and
that on the earthing strip of the cabinet, and bind the cable with cable ties. Then, use
diagonal pliers to trim off the excess ends of cable ties so that there are no rough edges.
