5.3 Configuring Management Modules
After installing the MM910, configure it on a local PC to manage components in an E9000
chassis.
Configuration Process
Step 1
Log in to the MM910 WebUI.
Log in to the MM910 WebUI by using the Internet Explorer.
Step 2
Check the MM910.
l
View the indicators on the panel and verify that the MM910 status is normal.
l
Query the MM910 version and verify that the version is the required one.
Step 3
Change the initial password of the default user.
Change the initial password of the default user to strengthen system security.
Step 4
Configure basic data.
Configure the static IP address, time zone, NTP time synchronization, floating IP address,
default gateway, and SNMP trap reporting for the MM910.
