6.3.6.3 (Optional) Deleting the Configuration File of the V8 Version

If the new switch module uses V8 software and the old switch module uses V5 software,
delete the V8 configuration file after the replacement.

Disable configuration file synchronization of switch modules.

config-sync disable before-reboot

config-sync disable before-reboot

XCU won't synchronize configuration to SMM before reboot.

Step 3

Confirm the name of the V8 configuration file to be deleted on the MM910 and delete the file.

If the MM910 software version is earlier than 3.30:
The switch module configuration file is saved in

/common/flash/bladecfg/swiN

indicates the switch module slot number. The values

represent slots 1E, 2X,

3X, and 4E, respectively. The switch module configuration file name
