TEST D FA
This key d isplays the menu of soft keys used to test the A5 Digita l Fi lter and the
A6 Digital Filter Control ler. The DFA fu nctional test performs a zoom test using
each channel on an i nternally generated square wave. This test does not use the
inputs, ADCs, or analog source assembl ies. For a com plete description of the D FA
self-tests, refer to paragraph 8-9. The DFA PA TT 1 test requires j umper A5 J 7 to
be set to test pos ition . The D FA PATT 1 test is used for self-test and for signatu re
analysis. The DFA PATT 2 is used only for signature analysis. When DFA PATT 2
is pressed 'System Fau lt' is d isplayed .
TEST KEYBD
This key tests the A1 5 Keyboard system interface circu its. The A2 System CPU
reads the keyboard status register and compares the result with a known good
value. At the same time, the front panel LEDs are flashed on, then off.
TEST CPU
This key d isplays the menu of the soft keys used to test the H P-I B circu its on the
A2 System CPU and the A22 H P-I nterface Bus. The H P-I B FU NCTN key tests the
General Pu rpose I nterface Bus Adapter (A2 U41 2) by writi ng data to its reg isters
and read i ng the d ata back. This test does not disturb devices connected to the
H P-I B connector. The H P-I B D I AG key tests all of the H P-I B circu its and must not
be run with devices attached to the H P-I B connector. The H P-I B CON N EC test
is used to troubleshoot the A22 H P-I B con nector. Refer to paragraph 8-6, part D
for instructions to use the H P-I B Con nector test.
TEST SOU RCE
This key displays the menu of soft keys used in testing the A1 Digital Source, A4 Local
Osci llator, and the A30 Analog Sou rce.

test (FR END FU NCTN).
FR END I NTFCE
This key i n itiates the Front E nd I nterface test (A1 Dig ital Source Test test). The
A2 System CPU loads the A1 D igital Source with test data for the front end interface
circu its (contro l registers subblock). The system CPU then reads the contents of
the d igital sou rce's status registers. Fai led bits of the status registers are entered
in the test log. The front end interface test verifies the circu its on the d igital sou rce
used to set up the A30 Analog Sou rce, A31 Trigger, A32, A34 ADCs, and the A33,
A35 I nput assemb l ies. (Refer to 8-5)
