Troubleshooting

Check whether chart paper has
been loaded in the recorder.
Load chart paper.
Clean the mark sensor. Take care
not to damage the sensor.
Remove all chart paper, then open
and close the paper tray in the
[Status] window in the maintenance
menu to check mark sensor
operation.
Paper tray open: white
Paper tray closed: black
Check cable connections and
reconnect cables to the CN1
connector.

The error message “No
paper” appears.
Check the signal output at pin 4 on
CN1 when the paper tray is
opened and closed. (

If the output is constant and does
not change, the sensor cable is
defective and should be replaced.
Check whether the paper tray is
loose.
Close the paper tray again properly
so that a click is heard.
If the change caused by pressing
the sensor switch is normal, the
paper tray is defective and should
be replaced.
Press the recorder sensor switch
(see margin) to check paper tray
status.
Use the [Status] window in the
maintenance menu to check.
Press the sensor switch to go from
OPEN

CLOSE.
Check cable connections and
reconnect cables to the CN1
connector.

The error message "Paper
magazine up" appears.
Check the signal output at pin 1 on
CN1 when the paper tray is
opened and closed. (

whether thermal print head
temperature is high.
Open the paper tray to let it cool
sufficiently.

The error message
"Thermal head heat up"
appears.
Check output voltage for thermal
print head temperature at pin 1 on
CN4.

If the voltage is 1.25 V or lower, the
thermal print head is defective and
should be replaced.
Check the [Storage Setting] in the
top menu.
Set "CF Card Store" to On.
Check whether past inspection
data is stored on the CF card.
Use ID to search past inspection
data in [File Mode]. Trend graph
printing is not available without
past data. s

Refuses to print trend
graphs.
Check if patient data can be read
after ID input.
If data cannot be read, the data
may have become corrupted.
Replace the CF card. Consult our
head office for information on
repair of damaged cards.
Check [Other Setup] window in
initial setting/maintenance.
Set thermal paper type to [Z-fold
paper].
Adjust the mark position in the
[Built-in Thermal Array Recorder
Adjustment] window in
manufacturer maintenance.
• When the perforation exceeds the
cut-off location, adjust toward the –
side.
• When the perforation does not
reach the cut-off location, adjust
toward the + side.

Z-fold paper does not stop
at the perforation.
Remove all chart paper, then open
and close the paper tray in the
[Status] window in the maintenance
menu to check mark sensor (see
