5.3.15 Testing the Display
Use this function to check that the display is operating normally.
5.3.15.1 Test Method
(1) Press the (Menu) key to open the [Top Menu], then touch [Initial Setting/Maintenance]

)] Æ [Display Test] to open the [Display Test] window.
(2) The screen changes each time the (Start) key is pressed. To cancel the test, press the
(Stop) key.
(3) Touch [Return] to return to the [Maintenance menu].
5.3.15.2 Criteria
Color must not be uneven, the display must not flicker and the brightness should go down when
ambient light is dimmed.
5.3.15.3 Test Window
Note
Although LCD is manufactured using high-precision technology, there may still be dead
pixels, (pixels that are black) and pixels that are constantly lit, which appear as red, blue or
green dots. These latter pixels may appear as uneven color depending on the line of sight.
This is an inherent characteristic of LCD and not a malfunction.
