Troubleshooting
6.5 PCG and Pulse Waves
No. Symptom
Check
Remedy
Check if the PCG microphone has
come loose or if the connector has
been incorrectly inserted.
Apply the PCG microphone correctly.
If the waveform is too small, adjust
the position of the PCG microphone
to increase the amplitude.
Check PCG.
If no waveform is available, the PCG
microphone is defective and should
be replaced.
1
The error message
“Check PCG” appears.
Check TP2 and TP3 on the main
board. (
☞
10.1.1.A4)
If no PCG is output, the PCG input
amplifier is defective.
Check if the air hose is incorrectly
connected.
Connect the air hose correctly.
Check whether air hose or cuffs
(rubber bag) are damaged and leak
air.
Replace the cuffs and air hose.
Check air passages inside the case
for kinked hoses and sensor
pressure detectors for clogging.
Remove any kinks.
Remove whatever clogs the cuff or
air hose.
Check the connection of the BP
cable that connects the cuff board
and the main board. (
☞
8.1.3)
Be sure to match up colors and sites
when connecting the main board to
the cuff board using the BP cable.
2
No pulse wave is
induced from the cuff.
Check cuff pulse wave at pin 5 on
CN2 on the cuff board. (
☞
10.2.1)
If no waveform is output, the board is
defective and should be replaced.
3
Carotid and femoral
pulse waves do not
appear on the LCD
screen.
Check the test mode in the
[BP/Pulse Test Condition Setting].
Set the test mode to [Aorta PWV].
4
Knee pulse waves do
not appear on the
screen.
Check the test mode in the
[BP/Pulse Test Condition Setting].
Set test mode to [Basic] and
measurement item to [kCAVI].
Check if the pulse wave sensors
have come loose or if the connector
has been incorrectly inserted.
Apply sensors and connectors
correctly.
If the waveform is too small, adjust
the position of the pulse wave
sensors to increase the amplitude.
Check pulse waveform.
If no waveform is output, the pulse
wave sensor is defective and should
be replaced.
Check PW cable connection to the
main board and check the cable for
breakage.
Reconnect the connectors. Change
any broken cables.
Check if the F1 fuse is blown.
(
☞
10.1.1.B3)
Replace blown fuses.
<PULSE WAVE1>
Check the pulse wave at TP4 on
the main board. (
☞
10.1.1.B4)
5
Carotid, femoral and
knee pulse waves do
not appear.
<PULSE WAVE2>
Check the pulse wave at TP1 on
the main board. (
☞
10.1.1.A4)
If no pulse wave is output, the pulse
wave input amplifier is defective.
6
Toe waveforms do not
appear on the screen.
Check the test mode in the
[BP/Pulse Test Condition Setting].
Set the test mode to [Toe Wave].
