5.5.3 Installing Standard 12-lead ECG Testing Software
Use this function to install the VSC-150 ECG Package (standard 12-lead ECG testing software)
on the VS-1500N.
5.5.3.1 Method
CAUTION
• Turn off the power and disconnect all cords and hoses during installation.
• Be sure to screw the cover back on.
• Be sure to orient the cartridge correctly before insertion.
• Do not touch the electrodes on the cartridge.
(1) Power down the instrument (but leave it plugged in) and touch the metal of the air
connectors on the back panel to remove any static electricity that might be on your body.
(2) Power down the instrument and disconnect the power cord, lead cables and all other
cords and air hoses.
(3) Use a screwdriver to remove the screws in the program cartridge cover on the bottom of
the instrument and open it.
(4) Install the PC-1500 Program Cartridge. Be sure to orient the cartridge correctly and make
sure it is properly seated in the connector.
(5) Close the cover. Insert the screws and tighten them properly using a screwdriver.
(6) Turn on the power, press the (Menu) key to open the [Top Menu], then touch [Initial
Setting/Maintenance] Æ [Maintenance] Æ [OK (

)] Æ [Next] Æ [ ECG Install ] to open the
[ECG Install] window.
(7) Load the CF card with the ECG program in the CF card drive. Touch [Execute] Æ [OK (
↵
)]
to start installation.
(8) When the installation completes, remove the CF card and turn off the power.
(9) Turn on the power, touch [Mode Change] and make sure that Standard 12-Lead ECG Test,
Arrhythmia ECG Test, Master Test and Sequential Test appear on the screen.
Note
•
Be sure to remove the program card after completing the installation.
•
Only the Power key is available after a completed installation.
CAUTION
• Do not turn off the power during installation.
• Do not perform an installation without loading a program cartridge.
• Do not perform an ECG uninstall.
• The ECG function will not operate if the program cartridge is removed.
