Compatibility with Electromagnetic Immunity (2)
The VS-1500 is intended for use in the electromagnetic environments described below. It is
recommended to verify that the VS-1500 is used in such an environment.
Immunity Test
IEC 60601-1-2 Test

Portable and mobile RF communication
equipment including the cable must not be used
at a distance that is less than the recommended
separation distance calculated using the
equation for the concerned transmitter frequency.
Recommended separation distance:

Where, P is the rated maximum output power of
the transmitter in watts (W) (according to
manufacturer specifications) and d is the
recommended separation distance in meters
(m).
The electric field strength of the fixed RF
transmitter determined by the electromagnetic
field survey

must be lower than the applicable
level in each frequency range
*2
.
Interference may occur in the vicinity of
equipment having the following symbol label:
z
Note 1: The higher frequency range should be applied for 80MHz and 800MHz.
z
Note 2: The above guideline is not applicable to every situation. Electromagnetic diffusion
depends on reflection from buildings, objects and human beings and how much they absorb.
*1
The electric field strength of fixed transmission stations such as cellular and cordless telephone
base stations, regional portable radios, amateur radios, AM/FM broadcasting and TV broadcasting
stations cannot be forecast accurately and theoretically.
To correctly assess the electromagnetic environment of fixed RF transmission stations, an
electromagnetic survey must be conducted at the site.
If the electric field strength measured at the site where the VS-1500 is used exceeds the
applicable level stated above, inspect whether or not the VS-1500 operates normally. If any
abnormal operation is found, additional countermeasures may be required to make the VS-1500
operable.
*2 Beyond the frequency range of 150 kHz to 80 MHz, the electric field strength should be 3V/m or
less.
