Chapter 6 Troubleshooting
6.3 Blood Pressure
No. Symptom Check Remedy
Check for clogging in cuffs and air
hoses. Remove whatever clogs the cuff or
air hose. 1 The error message “Press
over” appears.
(The software safety
mechanism was triggered
due to an abnormal rise in
cuff pressure.)
Check air passages inside the
case for kinked hoses and sensor
pressure detectors for clogging. Remove any kinks.
Remove whatever clogs the cuff or
air hose.
A cuff pressure of over 320 ± 10
mmHg activated the safety
mechanism.
1. Check for clogging in cuffs and
air hoses.
2. Check air passages inside the
case for kinked hoses and
sensor pressure detectors for
clogging.
1. Remove whatever clogs the air
passages.
2. Remove any kinks. Remove
whatever clogs the cuff or air
hose.
A cuff pressure of over 10mmHg
lasting longer than 130 ±10
seconds activates the safety
mechanism.
1. Check if there is any air in the
cuffs.
2. Check for damages in cuffs and
air hoses that cause air leaks.
3. Disconnect the air hose and
check the supplementary
pressure (Q) in the [Pump Unit]
window of the manufacturer
maintenance menu. (

1. Disconnect the hose and let air
out of the cuff.
2. Replace the cuff and air hose.
3. Replace the cuff PCB if the
pressure is 10 mmHg or more.
2 The error message
“Safety” appears.
(Hardware safety

Check the cable that connects the
cuff unit and the main board. Make sure that all connections are
correct.
Check for clogging in cuffs and air
hoses. Remove whatever clogs the cuff or
air hose.
Check air passages inside the
case for kinked hoses and sensor
pressure detectors for clogging. Remove any kinks.
Remove whatever clogs the cuff or
air hose.
Disconnect the air hose and check
the positive pressure (P) in the
[Pump Unit] window of the
manufacturer maintenance menu.

Replace the cuff PCB if the
pressure is 7 mmHg or more.
3 The error message “Time
over” appears.
(The software safety
mechanism was triggered
by an excessively long
measurement time.)
Perform the [Pressure Test] in the
maintenance menu and check
inflation time and exhaust
characteristics at 100% and 75%
open. If the standards are exceeded
(numeric values are highlighted),
replace the air control unit (pump,
flow control valves).
Check whether the air connectors
are loose. Reconnect the air connectors.
Check whether air hose or cuffs
(rubber bag) are damaged and
leak air. Replace the cuffs and air hose.
Check the air passages in the case
for leaks and damages. Replace the air hoses inside the
case.
4 The error message “Cuff
error” appears.
(Excessive inflation time)
Perform the [Pressure Test] in the
maintenance menu and check the
inflation time. (

replace the air control unit (air
pump).
