5.3.6 Testing CF Card
Use this function to test CF cards. The test is performed in the [I/O Test] window. (☞ 5.3.3.3 )
5.3.6.1 Test Method
(1) This test requires an initialized CF card. Select [CF Card Initialize] in [Initial Setting/Maintenance]
to initialize a CF card.
(2) Insert the CF card to be tested in the CF card drive of the VS-1500.
(3) Press the (Menu) key to open the [Top Menu], then touch [Initial Setting/Maintenance] Æ
[Maintenance] Æ [OK (

)] Æ [I/O Test] to open the [I/O Test] window.
(4) Touch [CF Card] to start the test. To stop the test, touch [CF Card] again. Touching [CF Card]
again allows you to successively perform frequency and error count checks.
(5) Touch [Reset] to reset frequency and error count to "0".
(6) Touch [Return] to return to the [Maintenance menu].
5.3.6.2 Criteria
The error count after 100 tests must be "0".
CAUTION
Use a CF card which is intended for testing.
5.3.7 Testing Printer Connection
Use this function to test data communications with a printer connected to the VS-1500 via USB.
The test is used to check whether the printer and instrument connection is operating normally.
The test is performed in the [I/O Test] window.

5.3.7.1 Test Method
(1) Connect the printer to the PRINTER connector on the VS-1500.
(2) Press the (Menu) key to open the [Top Menu], then touch [Initial Setting/Maintenance] Æ
[Maintenance] Æ [OK ( ↵ )] Æ [I/O Test] to open the [I/O Test] window.
(3) Touch [Printer] to start the test. To stop the test, touch [Printer] again. Touching [Printer] again
allows you to successively perform frequency and error count checks.
(4) Touch [Reset] to reset frequency and error count to "0".
(5) Touch [Return] to return to the [Maintenance menu].
5.3.7.2 Criteria
The error count after 100 tests must be "0".
