Message Cause Countermeasure
The settings have been
reset to factory default.

Faulty memory can be expected.
For SRAM:
Low voltage in the "back-up" battery
for settings and clock. For FLASH:
Please contact our service
department.
For SRAM:
Please replace the back-up battery.
Time over The measurement timed out and
activated the safety device. Inspect the cuff and air hose for
damages or breakage.
Valve error Cuff deflation took too long. Inspect the cuff and air hose for
damages or breakage.
7.1.2 CF Card-related Messages
Message Cause Countermeasure
Failed to write on the CF
card. No CF card has been inserted or
data cannot be properly written to
the card. Reinsert the CF card. If the
problem persists, replace the card.
Format CF card is needed. The inserted CF has not been
formatted.
Format the card on the VS-1500.
Retrieving patient data
from CF card failed. The ID entered in the patient
information could not be found on
the CF card. Either there is no patient data on
the CF card with that ID or the data
file is corrupted.
Failed to read from the CF
card. Either the CF card has not been
inserted or the data cannot be read
from the card. Reinsert the CF card. If the
problem persists, replace the card.
CF card format error.
Check the card. Check CF card for damages. Reinsert the CF card. If the
problem persists, replace the card.
File is not selected. The file to perform data detail, delete
or PC transfer has not been
selected. Select the file to be processed.
Write file error. Data was not written correctly to the
CF card.

Reinsert the CF card.

Check that the CF card has been
formatted.
If the message re-appears, replace
the CF card.
Send file error. Files cannot be properly sent to the
PC. ・ Check whether the LAN cable is
correctly connected.
・ Check whether the PC software
is running.
・ Check network settings.
The CF card is
write-protected. The CF card is set to
write-protected. Set writable on the CF card.
Read file error. Instrument settings and doctors and
other data cannot be read from the
CF card. The file could be corrupted.
