Chapter 6 Troubleshooting
6.7 Display
No. Symptom Check Remedy
1 The screen goes dark. Check the backlight setting in the
[Energy Save Setup]. Set [Dim backlight when no
operation] to [Off].
2 The screen vanishes. Check the auto power off setting in
[Energy Save Setup]. Set [Auto Power Off] to [Off].
Check if the cable connecting the
main board and the LCD_TP_IF
board has come loose or is broken. Connect the cable correctly.
Replace the cable if broken.
Check the service life of the
display. The display backlight is a
consumable and deteriorates with
use. (Life: approx. 54,000 hours) Replace the display.

Check the inverter On/Off signal
(pin 3 on CN4) on the LCDTP_IF
board. (

If the signal is "L", the inverter is
defective and should be replaced.
Check if the cable connecting the
display and the LCDTP_IF board
has come loose or is broken. Connect the cable correctly.
Replace the cable if broken.
Check if the cable connecting the
main board and the LCDTP_IF
board has come loose or is broken. Connect the cable correctly.
Replace the cable if broken.
4 LCD is abnormal.
Check the power supply of the
LCDTP_IF board.
