Circuito aria aspirata
Il circuito aria è composto da un
collettore di aspirazione (3) solidale alla
testa, da un corpo farfallato (2)
contenuto nella scatola filtro e da due
condotti che convogliano l’aria dalle
prese di aspirazione frontali (4).
All’interno della scatola filtro sono
contenute le cartucce filtro aria, vedere
paragrafo “Filtro aria” (Sez. D 4). Il
sistema controllo motore (accensione -
iniezione) ha una serie di sensori
necessari per fare le correzioni sulla
carburazione in funzione della
pressione e temperatura dell'aria e del
carico motore. Un sensore di
pressione assoluta integrato all'interno
termina in quota). Un sensore della
temperatura aria (5) posizionato sul lato
destro del supporto faro, permette alla
centralina di effettuare le correzioni
della miscela in funzione della densità
dell'aria.
potenziometro (6) posizione farfalla,
che invia in centralina un segnale
indice indiretto della quantità d'aria
aspirata dal motore (misura indiretta
carico motore).
Air circuit
The air cirucit is comprised of the two
intake manifolds (3) fixed to the
cylinder heads, two throttle bodies (2)
housed in the airbox and two ducts
that convey air from the front air
intakes (4). The airbox also houses
the sir filter cartridges, see “Air filter”
(Sect. D 4). The engine control
system (ignition and injection) relies
on several sensors which adjust the
mixture according to the air pressure
and temperature and the engine load.
An absolute pressure sensor in the
instrument panel measures the
barometric (ambient) pressure, and
this information is transmitted from
the instrument panel to the CPU for
essential adjustments of the quantity
of fuel injected when the motorcycle
is ridden on routes at different
altitudes (e.g. a route that starts at
sea level and ends at a high altitude).
An air temperature sensor (5), located
on the RH side of the headlight
support, enables the ECU to adjust
the mixture in accordance with the air
density. Assuming that the volume of
air is constant, if the temperature
rises, oxygen content will decrease,
whereas it will increase as the
temperature falls. If the temperature
rises, the mixture should be leaner,
while if it falls, the mixture should be
made richer to maintain the best air -
fuel ratio. There is a throttle position
sensor (6) fitted on the spindle of the
throttle of the rear cylinder. This
device sends the ECU a signal that is
an indirect indication of the quantity
of air drawn in by the engine (indirect
measurement of engine load).
