Sensore temperatura acqua
Il sensore temperatura del liquido di
raffreddamento, invia il segnale
elettrico alla cantralina motore, che lo
condivide tramite linea
CAN con il
quadro strumenti. Per verificare il
funzionamento del sensore utilizzare
lo strumento DDS collegato alla presa
di diagnosi della centralina e seguire
quanto riportato al paragrafo
“Diagnosi Guidata” (Sez. D 5). Dopo
aver fatto le corrette selezioni indicate
dal suo menù, leggere tra i parametri
motoristici rappresentati sul display il
valore della temperatura del liquido di
raffreddamento del propulsore. Con
motore completamente freddo la
temperatura dell'aria letta sempre
con il DDS, deve essere paragonabile
con quella del liquido di
raffreddamento. Con motore caldo
ed elettroventilatore del radiatore
appena attivato, la temperatura del
liquido di raffreddamento deve
essere paragonabile a quella di
azionamento dell'elettroventilatore
stesso (Sez. C 1.1). Se queste
verifiche non danno esito positivo
sostituire il sensore della temperatura
del liquido di raffreddamento motore.
Nel caso in cui il DDS rilevi nella
memoria della centralina un errore
del tipo “corto circuito o circuito
interrotto del sensore temperatura
liquido di raffreddamento”, verificare
l'impianto elettrico che collega il
sensore alla centralina. Se questo
tratto di impianto elettrico non
presenta guasti (non è interrotto, non
è in corto circuito e non è a massa),
sostituire il sensore.
Coolant temperature sensor
The coolant temperature sesnor
sends an electrical signal to the
engine control unit, which shares it
with the instrument panel over the
CAN line. To check that the sensor is
functioning correctly, connect the
DDS tester top the diagnostics socket
of the control unit and following the
instructions given under the heading
“Guided Diagnosis” (Sect. D 5). After
making the correct selections from
the menu, read the value of the
coolant temperature from the
parameters shown on the tester
display. With the engine completely
cold, the air temperature (also read
using the DDS tester) should be
approximately equal to that of the
coolant. With the engine hot and the
radiator cooling fan just activated, the
coolant temperature should be
approximately equal to the cooling
fan activation threshold (Sect. C 1.1).
If these checks do not give a positive
result, renew the engine coolant
temperature sensor. If the DDS
detects an error in the ECU memory
such as "coolant temperature
sensor short circuit or open circuit",
check the wiring connecting the
sensor to the ECU.
If this section of circuit is not faulty
(not broken, not shorted and not
grounded), replace the sensor.
