Rimontaggio componenti
cannotto di sterzo
Importante
I cuscinetti (3) del cannotto
sono uguali ma è necessario evitare
assolutamente di scambiarne i
componenti.
Pulire accuratamente e lubrificare
con grasso prescritto le superfici di
contatto.
Installare nel perno di sterzo la
rosetta (
14 ) ( 749/749 DARK ).
Inserire nel perno di sterzo (A) l'anello
di tenuta (2) (con il bordino rivolto
verso l'alto) e la pista interna (C) del
cuscinetto inferiore (3), dopo averlo
scaldato per circa 10 minuti ad una
temperatura di
125 °C .
Inserire nel perno di sterzo il tampone
cod.
88713.1072 . Premere la pista
interna (C) sull'anello di tenuta (2),
esercitando, manualmente, una certa
pressione per almeno 10 -15 secondi.
Lubrificare con grasso prescritto la
pista interna (C).
Inserire nel perno di sterzo (A) la
corona di sfere (B) con il lato di
diametro inferiore della gabbia,
rivolto verso l'alto e ingrassarla.
Per il montaggio degli anelli esterni (D)
dei cuscinetti (3) sul cannotto è
necessario disporre dell'attrezzo
88713.1062 ; procedere nel modo
seguente:
scaldare il cannotto a
150 °C ;
posizionare correttamente gli anelli
esterni (D) nelle sedi del cannotto;
inserire nell'anello inferiore la bussola
fissa (E, quella con foro filettato)
dell'attrezzo;
inserire nell'estremità superiore
dell'asta dell'attrezzo, l'altra bussola
mobile (F) e portarla in battuta
sull'anello del cuscinetto superiore;
avvitare il dado (G) e con chiave
portare in battuta gli anelli esterni
sul cannotto; lasciare montato
l'attrezzo fino al raffreddamento
del cannotto per garantire l'appoggio
dei cuscinetti nelle sedi.
Inserire il perno di sterzo (A),
all'interno del cannotto (4) portandolo
assialmente in appoggio.
Refitting the steering
tube components
Important
The steering tube bearings (3)
are identical but in no case may their
components be swapped around
during reassembly.
Clean all contact surfaces and lubricate
with the recommended grease.
Install washer ( 14 ) on the steering
stem ( 749/749 DARK ).
Insert the seal ring (2) (with lip
uppermost) and inner race (C) of
the lower bearing (3) onto the
steering stem (A), after having
heated it for around 10 minutes to
a temperature of
125 °C .
Fit onto the steering stem the drift
part no.
88713.1072 . Press the inner
race (C) against the seal ring (2)
manually applying moderate pressure
for at least 10 -15 seconds.
Lubricate the inner bearing ring (C)
with the recommended grease.
Fit the ball race (B) to the stem (A)
with the smaller diameter of the
cage facing upwards and grease
the ball race.
To fit the outer races (D) of bearings (3)
to the steering stem, use tool part
no.
88713.1062 ; proceed as follows:
heat the steering tube to 150 °C ;
fit the outer races (D) onto their
seats on the tube;
fit the fixed bush (E, with threaded
hole) of the tool into the lower race;
Fit the other movable bush (F) into the
upper end of the tool and drive it fully
home against the upper bearing race.
screw on nut (G) and use a wrench to
drive the outer races fully home on
the tube; leave the tool installed until
the tube cools down completely to
ensure the bearings are securely
installed.
Insert the steering stem (A) in the
steering tube (4) and push it in until it
becomes axially seated.
