i-mode Fault Diagnosis Site
This service lets you check if your FOMA terminal’s i-mode is working correctly for operations such as
sending/receiving mail, and downloading images/ring tones.

Test items vary depending on the FOMA terminal model. Also, the test items are subject to change.

To check the operation with each test item, read the notes on the site carefully before performing test.

When connecting to the i-mode Failure Diagnosis site or testing the mail sending, the unique information
(model, mail address, etc.) of your FOMA terminal is automatically transmitted to our server (i-mode Failure
Diagnosis server). We do not use the transmitted information for any purposes other than i-mode Failure
Diagnosis.

When there seems to be a malfunction as a result of checking, contact the Repairs inquiries number
provided on the back of this manual.
Updating Software
<Software Update>
Check if your FOMA terminal needs an update, and if necessary, download and update the required
software via packet communications.
DOCOMO updates software important for products after they go on sale to improve functionality and
ease of use so you may better use your mobile phone.
The latest information regarding software updates can be viewed on the NTT DOCOMO website or in
“
お客様サポート ” (Customer Support) of iMenu.

Packet communications charges do not apply to perform software updates.
z
Software may be updated in the following three methods: “Auto-update”, “Now update” and “Reserved update”.
Auto-update: The new software is downloaded automatically and overwritten at the preset time.
Now update: The software update is performed at once.
Reserved update: A time and date can be designated to perform the software update automatically.
z
You can update the software if the i-mode host is set as the user defined host.
z
Software updates (downloading and rewriting) may take time.
