(excluding i-Channel), Full Browser or Screen
memo (embedded Flash
®
Video only).
z
If embedded Flash

Video is saved, it can only be
played on a screen memo. If it cannot be played,
only a Flash movie appears.
z
The maximum playable size of Flash movie per
page is 500 KB for i-mode and 1.5 MB for Full
Browser.
z
Some files may not be played although can be
played with Flash 8 (some with Flash 9), depending
on the website.
Operating the Flash movies
Flash animation technology enables you to use rich
and exciting sites with graphics and sound. You can
download Flash movies to your i-mode handset and
use them as standby screens.
z
If vibration is set to a Flash movie, playing it
activates vibration regardless of the “Vibrator”
setting.
z
There may be cases where Flash movies may not
play properly even if they are displayed.
z
You may be able to operate the Flash movie even if
“
” is not displayed at the bottom of the
screen.
z
Flash movies are not displayed if “Set image disp.”
is set to “OFF”.
z
When “Use phone information” is set to “YES”, you
can use the phone data (time, date, reception level,
battery level, ring volume, language, model type
and model info).

with Adobe Flash Player.
The following two types of FLV can be played:
z
FLV streaming type cannot be played.
z
Progressive FLV, which is compatible with up to 10
MB playback, may be a large volume of data. Note
that communications charges may be high when
large data are received.

z
Some Flash movies may accompany sound
effects. To mute the sound, select “Sound setting”
and set the volume to zero. Even if “Vibrator” is set
to “Melody linkage”, it does not link to the Flash
movie sound effects.
z
If a Flash movie is set as standby screens, etc.
under “Display setting”, the sound effects or
vibration set to the Flash movie will not be
activated. Also, “Replay” is not available.

Some Flash movies may appear differently from
the ones played on sites, e.g. part of the image is
not saved, even if they are saved or saved as a
screen memo.
z
During Flash playback, the Power saver mode
does not activate regardless of the Light time
setting in “Backlight”.
z
Flash playback is paused if no key is pressed for
approximately 5 minutes. The playback resumes if
a key is pressed.
