Entering Characters in T9
Input Method
<T9 input>
You can enter a character with few key presses (1
character a time) and select a character or word from
the candidates.
For example, to enter “
春
”, press

” from the
displayed candidates.

The “Yomi edit” function works as T9 input
assistance to correct the reading when the
candidates do not contain your preferred text.

Refer to “Allowable characters in T9 input” (p.441)
for details on the key assignment.

T9 input mode is available only when the input mode
is Kanji/Hiragana, Katakana or Alphabetic. “5-touch”
automatically activates in Numeric input mode.

recognized are displayed in gray. In this case,
change the conversion area with
