10.12.5 Checking the Lift Interlocks
1. Check if the lift moves into an occupied store shelf with the grip opened. If
necessary, adjust the "store shelf" sensors.
2. Check if the indicator LED for the "Paddle free" sensor is switched off when a
loaded or empty process boat is on the paddle. If necessary, adjust the sensitivity
and direction of the sensors or the reflector positions.
3. Check if the lift moves to the slider with the grip opened when an empty process
boat is on the slider. If necessary, adjust the sensitivity of the "Slider loaded/not
loaded" sensor.
4. Check that the lift does not move to the slider position when the slider is not at the
lift. If necessary, adjust the "Slider not at the lift" sensors.
5. Check if the lift is locked when the paddle is not in position 0 mm or when the
loading machine is not in top position.
6. Check if all movements, including loading machine movements, are interrupted as
soon as the handling stop button is pressed.
10.12.6 Checking the WTS/WHS
Check the WHS/WTS (option) alignment, see chapter 9.8 Aligning Light Barrier and
Limit Switch, page 9-57.
10.12.7 Checking the Paddle
1. Check the paddle for damages. Pay attention to cracks or breakage caused by
mechanical impacts.
2. Check if the paddle is at the right height in relationship to the lift (option) and if the
paddle is in parallel to the loading machine shafts. Adjust the height at medium
paddle load. If necessary, adjust the alignment with the adjusting screws at the
paddle receptacle and with the upper SLS switching cam.
