9.3.3 Disturbances in the Toxic Gas Exhaust
9.3.3.1 Tube Door Will Not Open
1. Check the limit switch and the limit switch connections.
2. Check the compressed air.
3. Check if someone pressed the handling stop pushbutton.
4. Check if the tube door is mechanically blocked.
5. Use the CESAR control computer's status screen to check the actual and set
position of the process boat, refer to the CESAR control computer manual listed in
chapter 12.3 Information on the Control System, page 12-2.
6. Check if the process boat is really in end position, the limit switch at the loading
machine must be covered. If not, realign process boat travel way.
7. For systems with vacuum equipment, check if atmospheric pressure has been
reached. If not, the tube door interlock is active.
9.3.3.2 Tube Door Will Not Close
1. Check the limit switch and the limit switch connections.
2. Check the compressed air.
3. Check if someone pressed the handling stop pushbutton.
4. Check if the tube door is mechanically blocked.
5. Use the CESAR control computer's status screen to check the actual and set
position of the process boat, refer to the CESAR control computer manual listed in
chapter 12.3 Information on the Control System, page 12-2.
6. Check if the process boat is really in end position, the limit switch at the loading
machine must be covered. If not, realign process boat travel way.
9.3.3.3 Compressed Air Disturbances
1. Check if compressed air is available.
2. Check if air pressure is correct.
3. Check if an air hose in the toxic gas exhaust has come loose from the screw joint.
