Checking the Lift Arm

 

 

 

CAUTION! 

Use only Metaflux Biolub paste for lubricating the subassemblies.  

If you use other lubricants, the components will become gummy. This will impair the 
operation of the subassembly. 

 

If necessary, both axes can be separated from one another and can be moved 
individually. To do this, support both sides of the lift, then remove the toothed belt, the 
grip, the cantilever shafts and the joining bar of the cantilevers. 

 

1.  Check the linear guides and drive screws. The lubricating film on the ball tracks 

must be thin and clean. Look out for corrosion or abrasion. Clean, lubricate or 
replace the components as necessary. 

2.  Check the teeth and sides of the toothed belts for abrasion or damage. Replace 

damaged toothed belts. 

3.  Check the belt tension of the toothed belts. Readjust the belt tension if there is too 

much slack. To do this, move the tension pulley. The loose side of the belt can be 
displaced about 5 mm in the center. 

4.  Check the lifting and lowering motions of the lift for evenness when loaded. 

5.  Check the belt pulleys for damage to teeth and stop collar and for concentricity. 

6.  Check the shaft clutches. If necessary, tighten the screws. 

7.  Check the cantilever shafts for excessive distortion. If necessary, align or replace 

the cantilever shafts. 

8.  Check the parallel alignment of the grip with the lift and the loading machine. If 

necessary, adjust the grip: 

— 

Loosen the clutch clamping. 

— 

Align the grip. 

— 

Tighten the clutch clamping. 

9.  Check the end positions of the cantilevers. To do this, move the grip into paddle, 

center and store position in manual operation. If necessary, move the limit 
switches.
