5BHARDWARE CONTROL
0BDEVICE CONFIGURATION
Phase C close output:
Sends the close signal to the breaker of the phase C.
Three Pole/ One Pole Output:
General Output:
Multiple use output, it has no restrictions.
Inactive Output
: If this option is selected, the signal is not in use, so the rest
of the options will not be shown.
Remote Control ON/OFF:
when the output is so configured it is connected to
the signal rRem<x> where <x> is a number that corresponds to that of the
configured output. e.g. if output number 7 is configured in this way it is
connected to the signal rRem7 and in the output configuration for the DNP and
MODBUS protocols the signal rRem7 will appear as available for an output. If
the relay is configured to manage the outputs with a single index then only
rRem7 will be available. Once this signal is assigned to one of the output
indexes it will be available to be used with TRIP/CLOSE or LATCH
OFF/LATCH ON commands. If the relay is configured to manage the outputs
as “double index” then the outputs rRem7 and nrRem7 will be available, the
first one is used to activate the output and the second one to deactivate it. In
the DNP3 protocol rRem<x> responds to both TRIP and LATCH OFF. In both
cases the output is tripped. nrRem<x> on the other hand responds to CLOSE
AND LATCH ON. Notice that the process cannot be performed backwards so it
is not possible to configure the rRem<x> output before configuring the <x>
output to be controlled this way.
Remote Control Pulse:
like the
previous case the character is usually Direct
Output. So when configuring an output this way it is connected to the signal
rRem<x> where <x> is a number that corresponds to that of the configured
output. e.g. if output number 7 is configured in this way it is connected to the
signal rRem7 and in the output configuration for the DNP and MODBUS
protocols the signal rRem7 will appear as available for an output. In this
configuration only rRem<x> will be available independently of the the output
control type (single index or double index). This kind of behavior can only be
managed using DNP3. It is not implemented in MODBUS. The DNP3 control
semantic is PULSE ON. The relay can be thus configured to produce a pulse
train where the number of pulses and the ON/OF duration can be controlled.
