1BPROTECTION FUNCTIONS
PROTECTION, CONTROL AND METERING FUNCTIONS
Closing Locks.
Recloser locked
This state is reached by the activation of the corresponding input (external
blocking) or by the blocking of all protection functions. No cycle is initiated here
and if the cycle was already initiated it is aborted going to definitive trip if the
breaker trips because of a relay trip command and the number of trips is
higher than the one pre-configured at the Breaker Monitor Function.
Manual operation during the cycle.
If during the operation cycle a manual or command order is issued to close the
breaker the recloser closes and counts the reclaim time if during this period a
trip is produced the recloser goes to definitive trip otherwise is goes to the
surveillance status.
If during the operation cycle a manual (or command) order is issued to trip the
circuit breaker the recloser aborts the cycle and goes to definitive trip.
Digital outputs related to recloser (can be programmed as output relays):
Recloser in ongoing cycle. Active from the moment when the circuit breaker
trips because of a trip until the surveillance status or definitive trip status are
reached.
Recloser locked. Active if the recloser is disengaged(or out of service) or if
the external recloser locking input is activated.
Reclosing (breaker closing order)
Definitive trip. Active while on that state.
Logic inputs related to the recloser, that can be assigned to physical inputs or
buttons:
Breaker status. This input is necessary for the recloser operation. Breaker
closed signal (52a) and breaker tripped signal (52b).
