4BOSCILLOGRAPHIC RECORDING
PROTECTION, CONTROL AND METERING FUNCTIONS
2.3.3. HOT LINE TAG
The Hot Line Tag function (maintenance with energized line) stops every attempt to
close the line breaker. This special mode of operation can be activated using a button at
the front panel of the relay, pre-programming a key with this function using the HLTOn
flag or activating the remote control input rRemoteHLT by means of a communication
protocol. When this function is activated the relay goes to settings group number 6.
2.4. OSCILLOGRAPHIC RECORDING
Oscillographic records stored in the internal memory of the relay can be configured and
visualized using the software. Oscillographic records are recorded in the relay’s memory
every time a protection function trips but the user can program up to 16 additional flags that
can trigger the recording.
The following parameters can be configured additionally:
Additional flag that triggers the recording:
up to 16 additional flags can be
selected.
Number of samples per cycle:
The recording format for the oscillographic
records can be selected between 16, 32, 64 or 128 samples per cycle.
Number of cycles to record:
Selection of the total number of cycles to record
for a specific oscillographic record, it depends on the selected resolution for
the previous parameter.
Pretrigger cycles:
Selection of the pretrigger cycles: can be between 1 and
20.
2.5. METERING FUNCTIONS
The relay carries out the following metering functions:
