It is important that you select a setting group where the reclosing function is active, so
that the operation of this function is adequate.
If the user selects an alternative group with no active reclosing function, the relay
returns to the initial group and the reclosing cycle starts again, if trips occur.This
behavior shall be recorded in the event log.
If the user sets in the alternative group, the recloser function with a number of shots
less than or equal to those of the initial setting group, the relay returns to the initial
one and goes to definitive trip condition of the recloser function. This behavior shall
be recorded in the event log.
2.2.4. SECTIONALIZER
This is not a protection element, but is a great option for solving several protection
coordination issues. They don’t have the capability of opening in case of fault.
