5.3.1 Setup – Laser
Open the Laser tool by clicking the Laser tab in
the
Setup Manager
tool group (Fig. 259). Close
the tool box by clicking again.
Select
On from the respective pull down menu to
switch the laser on.
The HeNe lasers and Diode lasers will be switched
on automatically after software start. For each laser
the properties are displayed if the
Laser
Properties window is opened.
See section 5.2.5 for further details on the lasers.
5.3.2 Setup – Light Path
The Light Path tool allows new / existing beam path
configurations to be created / edited and saved.
Existing beam paths can be deleted with the
Delete
function.

Click on the
Light Path
tab to open or close the
tool.
The display will change for different configurations.
The following combinations are possible:
1.) 32 GaAsP array / one side PMT and optional 2
Channel Module (BiG.2) and/or NDD (BiG.2 as
NDD) (Fig. 260)
2.) 3 ch with one GaAsP and one side PMT and
optional 2 Channel Module (BiG.2) and/or NDD
(BiG.2 as NDD) (Fig. 260)
3.) 2 Channel Module (BiG.2) and / or NDD (BiG.2 as
NDD)
If more than one detector type is available, the respective beam path can be selected by pressing the
corresponding tab, where
2 Channel Module represents BiG.2 on the direct coupling port of the scan
head;
32 Channel Module
or 3 Channel Module represents the Quasar detector (32 channel GaAsP
array or 1 channel GaAsP with 2 flanking multialkali PMTs); and NDD represents BiG.2 on NDD port
(Fig. 260). Two detector types are available simultaneously that can perform FCS.
