Mode I: Remove the cover on the top of the anesthesia machine. Connect the communication port
(the white cable on the left in the figure) on the calibration device to the calibration
communication port on the VCM board on the anesthesia machine using the communication cable
A. See the following figure:

Mode II: Connect the communication port on the calibration device to the calibration port (a
multiplex port providing also the function of a CIS power port) on the back of the anesthesia
machine directly using the communication cable B. See the following figure:
